General | What is a kit and why should I get it?
  • A kit is a bundle of equipment, for instance a hand-held core drill or a core drill on stand (rig), and related diamond tools
  • By buying the kit, you get savings and you get the diamond tools you need to get to work
General | When should I use a stand (rig) together with the core drill?
  • When you want to ensure a stable and precise drilling with a hand-held core drill
  • To increase the diameter that you can reach with a hand-held core drill. Please refer to the technical data for the minimum and maximum diameters
    • Core drill motors can be used only together with a stand (rig), because they are not hand-held
General | When should I use a rail?
  • Together with a core drill, when you need to perform stitch drilling (one drilling next the other)
  • Together with a blade saw, to cut straight and in +stable conditions
  • Together with a chainsaw, to cut straight and in stable conditions
General | At which voltage are CARDI products available?
  • CARDI equipment with single-phase motors is available at both 230 V – 50-60 Hz and at 115-120 V – 50-60 Hz

General | Why diamond tools are used to drill, cut and saw construction materials?
  • There are multiple reasons why industrial-grade diamonds are embedded in the segments that compose the diamond tools (e.g., drilling core bits, blades and chains), enabling to drill, cut and saw hard construction materials:
    • Hardness:
      • Diamond is the hardest known material and is thus used to drill, cut or saw through other hard construction materials, as reinforced concrete
    • High heat resistance:
      • Drilling, cutting and sawing through hard construction materials, as reinforced concrete, produces elevated temperatures and pressures
      • Diamond can resist heat, due to its high melting point
    • Durability:
      • The hardness and heat resistance of diamond allows for higher durability, outlasting other conventional materials used for drilling, cutting and sawing tools, as, for instance, Widia
